New blog

This takes me no time, so I started a new blog called: http://myacumenisascam.blogspot.com/ check it out.

Asif Zamir and myacumen.com: Just another PO box

Thanks to Mike for checking out the listed address from the www.myacumen.com website. As I suspected it is just a PO box. Of course Asif Zamir does not have an office, he's a two-bit fraudster. Anybody who can pay a private detective can stake the place out and give your letter of demand to Asif Zamir personally. If you do that, make sure you take a picture of him.

www.myacumen.scam

Myacumen is a scam website that demands payment upfront and does not deliver the goods. Chances are it is not a registered company. Give your money to www.myacumen.com and you will never see it again.

Asif Zamir = www.myacumen.com

Hi All.

Asif Zamir is www.myacumen.com.

Asif Zamir used to have a website called Blue Ocean International (www.bointernational.com). This is the site that he used to give credibility to his fraudulent ebay transactions. If you had called the 800 number on the site you would have found it disconnected. The site offered poorly defined business consulting services for a flat rate, paid in advance, of course. I am guessing that the site was not a raging success.

Once Asif Zamir got into trouble and was found out and apparently banned from ebay for fraudulent transactions like mine, his website was taken down for lack of payment.

Now Asif Zamir has set up a new site called http://www.myacumen.com. This site offers similar services to the other, and, although the look and feel are different from bointernational.com, it is clearly based entirely on the old site, right down to the stock photos of offices and the chummy multicultural young people photo.

He now focuses on offering website development for small businesses for a flat fee of $250 (paid upfront, of course). How can he develop a website for such a low cost? Well, that's how I found the site, in fact.

Asif Zamir hired some web developers over the internet. They worked for him and he promised to pay them. The problem is, he never paid them. Then they started to look into what kind of a person Asif Zamir is, and they found my site. Then they gave me the URL for myacumen.com.

So, this time the fraud was committed against the web developers rather than the customers. I am sure, however, that eventually some of these people who pay upfront will not see their products. This is how Asif Zamir seems to work. He starts by actually delivering at an unsustainably low price, then once he has a bit of a track record of delivering, he goes for the big scores and commits larger frauds. He did it with the camera equipment, delivering a few pieces to customers, getting some good feedback and then reeling in the bigger purchases which he never delivers on.

There is already a consulting firm in the Toronto area called Acumen. I am sure that Asif Zamir did not trademark the Acumen name, so I hope this company sues him for trademark infringement.

I am also sure that he has not registered or incorporated Acumen as a company. And I am sure he is not declaring whatever he makes as income. So, all of his ill-gotten income is tax-free, off the books. This is income tax evasion and fraud.

I have not visited the address on the website which is:

250 The East Mall, Suite 1687
Toronto, Ontario M9B 6L3
Canada

I am pretty sure that it is a PO box. There is no way that Asif Zamir can pay rent on an actual office, but if anybody ever gets the chance to look into it, let me know. I have already sent him a registered letter of demand that he refused to accept (because he knew it was an invitation to pay me or see me in court), so the next time I send a letter, it will be in person. On the off chance that there is an office there Asif Zamir is there as well, give him my regards... and call the police.
